Sheila Jensen CCC
Sheila is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist. She holds a Master’s degree in Psychological Counselling with a specialization in Marriage and Family Therapy.
With over four years of experience providing psychosocial therapeutic support to children, youth, adults, couples, and families, she brings a strong foundation in culturally responsive, client-centered care. Her approach is guided by a deep commitment to promoting emotional well-being and fostering meaningful change across diverse clinical and community settings.
She has worked extensively in school-based environments (grades K–12), supporting clients with a wide range of concerns, including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Anxiety Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Trauma, Intellectual Disabilities, Depression, and ADHD. Building on this foundation, she transitioned into private practice, where she continues to broaden her expertise in addressing Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, Grief, Sex Addiction, and other complex mental health challenges.
In her work with couples and families, she is passionate about helping clients strengthen relationships, enhance communication, and cultivate more harmonious home environments. She strives to create a warm, inclusive, and non-judgmental space where every client feels seen, heard, and supported. Each session is thoughtfully tailored to meet the unique needs and goals of the individual or family, integrating evidence-based therapeutic modalities that best align with their personal journey.
She holds certifications from PESI in ADHD care, complex trauma, and mindfulness, and has completed advanced training in eating disorders, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, parts work, the Gottman Method, anxiety and depression, and Internal Family Systems. When working with children, she often incorporates play therapy to foster comfort, connection, and emotional expression in a developmentally sensitive way.
She takes pride in working with clients of all ages—from young children to older adults—and believes that effective therapy begins by meeting each person exactly where they are. Dr. Neda Safvati Agius
Dr. Neda Safvati is a distinguished Licensed Clinical Psychologist practicing in Los Angeles, California, and Ontario, Canada. She began her career in community mental health, specializing in early childhood intervention. As her passion for psychological assessment deepened, she transitioned into test publishing, where she trained and supported clinicians across North America in the use of standardized assessment tools. Returning to clinical practice, she led the development of assessment services at one of California’s largest mental health clinics before founding Tiny Steps Developmental Services in Los Angeles in 2016.
In 2019, Dr. Safvati relocated to Oshawa, Ontario, to raise her family and recognized the need for accessible, high-quality psychological services. This led to the establishment of Agius Psychology, where she continues to provide psychological and psychoeducational assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as pre-employment psychological evaluations for police and other public safety personnel.
Dr. Safvati’s expertise spans psychotherapy, developmental and diagnostic assessment, and psychological fitness-for-duty evaluations. She is trained in the use of instruments commonly utilized in law enforcement and clinical screenings, including the MMPI-3, 16PF, and WAIS-IV, and is well-versed in California POST and other relevant guidelines for public safety psychological evaluations.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Safvati has served as a Mental Health Services Act Fellow for Los Angeles County, where she was recognized for her contributions to community mental health. She is certified in multiple Evidence-Based Practices, including Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Positive Parenting Program (Triple P), Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP), and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
She has presented nationally on topics such as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and psychodiagnostic assessment, and continues to champion empirically grounded, compassionate care.
